The Texas Hill Country is a wonderful little region located in the heart of Texas that hides an amazing assortment of natural beauties, including the Colorado River canyon at Colorado Bend State Park. I spent twenty-four hours at this park, and only saw the river twice. I spent the most time on the bank the morning I left the park, watching the sun rise over the rim of the canyon to illuminate the greenish water of the river. Next time I go to this park I want to do so many things, and near the top of the list is renting a kayak to paddle up and down the river a ways. Anybody want to join me?
